Private Lessons

All Mashpee Recreation lessons are provided by Straight-Up Pickleball and delivered by a passionate, experienced coaching team that genuinely cares about your progress. With a challenging curriculum and plenty of personal attention, our coaches are excited for the 2026 season and can’t wait to share their love of the game while coaching you to grow at your own pace.
PRIVATE COACHING (One-to-One)
Monday: May 11th with Rithy (Rain Date: May 18th) 3:30 – 4:30 PM
Thursday: May 14th with Laura (Rain Date: May 21st) 3:00 – 4:00 PM
Thursday: June 4th with Rithy (Rain Date: June 18th) 3:15 – 4:15 PM
Monday: June 8th with Sophie (Rain Date: June 15th) 2:45 – 3:45 PM
Tuesday: June 9th with Karl (Rain Date: June 16th) 3:15 – 4:15 PM
Wednesday: June 10th with Jill (Rain Date: as agreed) 2:45 – 3:45 PM
This one-hour lesson is perfect for the player interested in focusing on a specific skill or strategy to increase his or her consistency on the court. Drop shots, serve consistency, footwork, mindfulness, soft hands, effective return of serve, overheads, lobs, etc….you name it, the coach will be there for you! Fun and focused!
Need a different day, time, or format from what is posted? Straight-Up offers Private Coaching by request. These are personalized lessons designed to make immediate, actionable improvements to your game. All sessions are led by a high-level, experienced coach. Lessons are tailored to your goals, skill level, and on-court needs. One-on-one or groups up to four for one hour or more.
Resident One-Hour Pricing (Non-Res: add $10): 1 player=$80 2 players=$90 3 players=$105 4 players=$120
To sign up for a lesson, email laurau@straightuppb.com with (1) name, (2) phone, (3) DUPR or personal skill assessment, (4) 3 preferred dates, (5) coach preference (if any). Straight-Up will respond within 24 hours.
Note: the “Private Coaching” lessons are for players who already know how to play pickleball. It is recommended those interested in learning pickleball for the first time sign up for “Learn to Play Pickleball” or two “Private Coaching” lessons.
