All Mashpee Recreation pickleball lessons are taught by Straight-Up Pickleball, founded by Laura and Karl Uggerholt.  Straight-Up's experienced and caring Coaching Team offer comprehensive pickleball lessons, allowing players to advance through a consistent curriculum at their own pace.  The instructors are excited about the 2025 season and look forward to sharing what they know about a sport they love with great people ! This one hour lesson is perfect for the player interested in focusing on a specific skill or strategy to increase his or her consistency on the court.  Drop shots, serve, consistency, footwork, mindfulness, soft hands, effective return of serve, overheads, lobs, etc......you name it, the coach will be there for you !  Fun and focused ! Note : Private lessons are for players who already know how to play pickleball.  It is recommended those interested in learning pickleball for the first time sign up for a Beginner Clinic.

All Mashpee Recreation pickleball lessons are taught by Straight-Up Pickleball, founded by Laura and Karl Uggerholt.  Straight-Up's experienced and caring Coaching Team offer comprehensive pickleball lessons, allowing players to advance through a consistent curriculum at their own pace.  The instructors are excited about the 2025 season and look forward to sharing what they know about a sport they love with great people ! Are you interested in more personalized coaching with a fellow player ? If so, this one hour coaching session is perfect for you ! The lesson will be led by a fun and knowledgeable Straight-Up Coach and will allow full, focused and personalized instruction for 2 players signing up for a lesson taught together (one slot).  The participants will have the opportunity to focus on strategies and mechanics leaving the hour with an improvement plan and a sense of accomplishment. Note : The "Two and a Coach" lessons are for players who already know how to play pickleball.  It is recommended those interested in learning pickleball for the first time sign up for a Beginner Clinic or two "Two and a Coach" lessons.
 
5:45 PM - 6:45 PM    Line Dancing - Line Dancing Summer 2025
Summer Line Dancing By popular demand, instructor Liz Saunders will be teaching line dancing over the summer months for a 7-class series.Mondays July 7th-August 25th 5:45PM-6:45PM (No Class July 28th) Class will resume on August 4th. This is not a beginner class. (Updated 4/14) Steps will be taught, but participants should feel comfortable moving to the rhythm, with basic steps such as step-touches, jazz squares, pivots, grapevine, shuffles/Lindy, etc. There will be some fun Basic, Improver and Intermediate levels routines taught to music.   -Each week we will DANCE the learned ones & LEARN some new ones!-Some may be more challenging at a faster pace.  -Please be prepared to move the entire time in comfortable clothes & smooth bottom shoes (dance socks over sneakers may work well).  -Cowboy boots welcome.  -BRING WATER.  -Most songs will be available on YouTube to practice more, on your own time.  ***Be social, enjoy music with movement & stay active in this feel-good setting***

Here is how the fun will unfold : complete a multi-faceted assessment on two skills while being videoed, receive individualized coaching points through video review, improve each skill with focused exercises and application games, wrap up with a final assessment.  The camp will be structured to bring out the best in each student playing off of individual's experience levels. Summer Line Dancing By popular demand, instructor Liz Saunders will be teaching line dancing over the summer months for a 7-class series.Mondays July 7th-August 25th 5:45PM-6:45PM (No Class July 28th) Class will resume on August 4th. This is not a beginner class. (Updated 4/14) Steps will be taught, but participants should feel comfortable moving to the rhythm, with basic steps such as step-touches, jazz squares, pivots, grapevine, shuffles/Lindy, etc. There will be some fun Basic, Improver and Intermediate levels routines taught to music.   -Each week we will DANCE the learned ones & LEARN some new ones!-Some may be more challenging at a faster pace.  -Please be prepared to move the entire time in comfortable clothes & smooth bottom shoes (dance socks over sneakers may work well).  -Cowboy boots welcome.  -BRING WATER.  -Most songs will be available on YouTube to practice more, on your own time.  ***Be social, enjoy music with movement & stay active in this feel-good setting***

Let Peace Love SUP guide you through a memorable liquid yoga experience on a stand-up paddleboard. Classes are designed for all levels and no experience is needed. It is important that you are comfortable in the water and are able to swim since there may be times where the water could be over your head. We start with a quick lesson for newbies, a short warm-up paddle, and then anchor for a playful and peaceful practice unlike any other. All equipment, anchoring and instruction are included in the pricing as well as pictures/videos of your experience. This class will be instructed by Amy Squeglia, owner of Peace, Love SupInstructor Bio:Amy’s passion for all things water brought her to discover and fall in love with stand up paddle boarding (SUP) in 2010. Stand up paddling is a fun way to spend time with family or friends while exploring different bodies of water. This class is beginner friendly and accessible for all skill levels. You will learn the fundamentals of paddle boarding while building confidence on the water.  It is important that you are comfortable in the water and are able to swim since there may be times where the water could be over your head. Safety is a priority and you will be provided all necessary equipment (board, paddle, leash, life jacket) and instruction on how to handle the board and paddle safely. Plan to spend about 2 hours on the water. Stand up paddling is a fun way to spend time with family or friends while exploring different bodies of water. This class is beginner friendly and accessible for all skill levels. You will learn the fundamentals of paddle boarding while building confidence on the water.  It is important that you are comfortable in the water and are able to swim since there may be times where the water could be over your head. Safety is a priority and you will be provided all necessary equipment (board, paddle, leash, life jacket) and instruction on how to handle the board and paddle safely. Plan to spend about 2 hours on the water. All Mashpee Recreation pickleball lessons are taught by Straight-Up Pickleball, founded by Laura and Karl Uggerholt.  Straight-Up's experienced and caring Coaching Team offer comprehensive pickleball lessons, allowing players to advance through a consistent curriculum at their own pace.  The instructors are excited about the 2025 season and look forward to sharing what they know about a sport they love with great people ! NEW ! It's all the rage ! Minor League Pickleball is a fun and competitive team event !  Participants will be organized by skill level and put into teams of 4.  Teams will go head-to-head against each other in varying doubles matchups. There is sure to be some ribbing and heckling, of course ! AND Straight-Up Pickleball will teach you how to rally score.  This Minor League event will be a great way to get to know people and improve your game !

5:45 PM - 6:45 PM    Line Dancing - Line Dancing Summer 2025
Summer Line Dancing By popular demand, instructor Liz Saunders will be teaching line dancing over the summer months for a 7-class series.Mondays July 7th-August 25th 5:45PM-6:45PM (No Class July 28th) Class will resume on August 4th. This is not a beginner class. (Updated 4/14) Steps will be taught, but participants should feel comfortable moving to the rhythm, with basic steps such as step-touches, jazz squares, pivots, grapevine, shuffles/Lindy, etc. There will be some fun Basic, Improver and Intermediate levels routines taught to music.   -Each week we will DANCE the learned ones & LEARN some new ones!-Some may be more challenging at a faster pace.  -Please be prepared to move the entire time in comfortable clothes & smooth bottom shoes (dance socks over sneakers may work well).  -Cowboy boots welcome.  -BRING WATER.  -Most songs will be available on YouTube to practice more, on your own time.  ***Be social, enjoy music with movement & stay active in this feel-good setting***
